From October 23–25, the Muslim Community Association hosted the “100 Years of Palestine” exhibition, a collaboration with the Tarbiya Institute and MCA’s Civic Engagement Committee. Attracting over 3,000 visitors, the event traced a century of history through photographs, historical timeline maps, and traditional Palestinian dresses from the 1920s, documenting life under decades of systematic land theft and occupation.
A central, deeply moving installation featured six-year-old Hind Rajab of Gaza City alongside a bullet-riddled car. Her story served as a haunting symbol of the devastating impact of military assault and the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.
Ultimately, the weekend’s overriding theme was resilience. The exhibition highlighted a century of families preserving their culture, hope, and stories despite decades of war, occupation, and genocide. This enduring determination was mirrored in the community itself, as generations gathered not in despair, but to remember, learn, and bear witness together.
MCA extends deep gratitude to the Tarbiya Institute, the Civic Engagement Committee, and all volunteers and visitors who made this vital weekend possible.
