Annual Dinner Recap

We did it!

Alhamdulillah, our Annual Fundraising Dinner was SOLD OUT!

On September 26, 2026, the Muslim Community Association (MCA) gathered nearly 500 members of the Bay Area Muslim community for its Annual Fundraising Dinner, celebrating 45 years of service under the theme, “Investing in Faith. Building Our Future.” The evening brought together families, community leaders, scholars, donors, volunteers, staff, and supporters united by a shared commitment to the future of MCA and the generations to come.

For 45 years, MCA has been more than a place of prayer. It has been a center for worship, education, community, dawah, youth development, family services, and charitable work. The evening reflected on that legacy while looking ahead to the opportunities and responsibilities that lie before the community.

The fundraising goal for the evening was $1 million, and the community came together to raise approximately $900,000 toward that goal. This tremendous generosity reflects the trust the community has placed in MCA and its mission. Every contribution represents an investment in the programs, services, facilities, and initiatives that will shape the future of the community.

The evening also highlighted the incredible support behind MCA’s work. More than 30 sponsors contributed to making the event possible, demonstrating the broad network of individuals, families, and organizations invested in the continued growth of the Muslim community in the Bay Area.

MCA President Omar Ahmad delivered remarks reflecting on MCA’s journey and its responsibility to the generations ahead. His speech emphasized the importance of preserving the institution that previous generations built while continuing to expand its ability to serve a growing and diverse community. His remarks served as a reminder that the future of MCA will be shaped not only by what has been accomplished over the past 45 years, but by what the community chooses to build together in the years ahead.

The evening featured a number of memorable experiences for attendees, including live calligraphy and a successful live auction, adding energy and excitement to the fundraising program. Dinner was generously served by Zareen’s, providing an opportunity for families and community members to gather, reconnect, and share a meal together.

The event also made a special effort to ensure that children were part of the evening. While parents participated in the banquet, children enjoyed a dedicated program featuring a basketball event, pizza party, and age-appropriate activities designed specifically to engage them. This reflects an important part of MCA’s vision for the future: building a community where children do not simply attend the masjid, but grow up feeling that it belongs to them too.

As MCA looks toward the future, the work continues. The funds raised will help support the programs, services, and future initiatives that allow MCA to serve thousands of community members throughout the year. From Islamic education and youth programming to dawah, women’s programs, charitable services, community development, and masjid expansion, the next chapter will require the continued investment and participation of the entire community.

A successful fundraising dinner is never the work of one person. It is the result of countless hours of planning, preparation, service, and sacrifice. MCA extends its deepest gratitude to its staff, scholars, board members, volunteers, sponsors, donors, speakers, organizers, and every community member who attended and supported the evening.

Most importantly, we thank everyone who continues to believe in the mission of MCA and invest in its future. For 45 years, this community has built something meaningful together. The next chapter begins with the same commitment: Investing in Faith and Building Our Future.

Thank you for being part of the MCA family.
