Assalamu Alaikum Dear GIS Parents,
We pray to Allah (SWT) to keep our families safe and in good health. We are pleased to officially announce the results of the 2025 GIS Board Members Election.
Voting Overview
- Total Eligible GIS Families: 81 (as per the MCA Membership list)
- Ballots Submitted: 50 (62% voter turnout)
We sincerely appreciate the participation of our GIS families in this election. The MCA Election Committee thoroughly reviewed all candidates and nominations to ensure a fair and transparent process. We were honored to have an excellent slate of candidates for the following open positions:

New Term Start Date
The newly elected GIS Board Members will officially begin their term on April 1, 2025. The MCA Election Committee hereby declares the 2025 GIS Board Election final and closed.
Acknowledgment of Outgoing Board Members
We extend our deep gratitude and appreciation to the outgoing board members for their dedication and contributions to GIS. May Allah (SWT) bless them and their families abundantly. The following members will conclude their terms in March:

Call for Greater Participation
We are grateful to Allah (SWT) and the GIS community for entrusting us with this important responsibility. We believe that active participation in the election process is essential to shaping the leadership and future of our school.
Alhamdulillah, we had a 62% voter turnout among eligible families, overall engagement remains low. Only 81 out of 330 total GIS families (24%) were eligible to vote, highlighting the need for greater involvement.
We strongly encourage all GIS parents to take an active role in future elections. We also urge the newly elected board to implement strategies to increase participation from 24% of total GIS families to at least 75% in the next election cycle.
