I’tikaf

The Muslim Community Association (MCA) is to honored to facilitate the sacred tradition of i’tikaf.

Abdullah bin Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to practice i’tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan” – Sahih Muslim 1171B

I‘tikāf is to remain in the masjid with the sincere niyyah (intention) of dedicating oneself to worship for the sake of Allah ﷻ. The purpose of this blessed stay is to draw closer to Allah ﷻ through focused ‘ibādah. During i‘tikāf, the believer steps away from worldly routines and distractions to strengthen their relationship with Allah ﷻ.This sacred time is spent in prayer, recitation and reflection of the Holy Qur’an, remembrance of Allah ﷻ, and heartfelt du‘ā’.

You must register, submit application form & pick-up your badge by Friday, March 6th to participate in Itikaf at MCA.
