Spend Eid al-Adha with MCA!

There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these 10 days”(Sahih al-Bukhari 969)

We’re already more than halfway through the blessed 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah, alhamdulillah. We are praying for our hujjaj who are on their pilgrimage!

Don’t miss the chance to increase in worship during these last few days of Dhul-Hijjah, give to MCA today.

Additionally, the Day of Arafat will be on Tuesday, May 26th and Eid al-Adha will be on Wednesday, May 27th, insha’Allah.

Takbeerat starts 30 minutes before each prayer.

1.  7:30 AM – Brother Samy Hilali
2.  9:30 AM – Shaikh Alauddin ElBakri
3.  11:30 AM – Br Ihab Badr

Qurbani Resources

I witnessed the Prophet (ﷺ) on the Day of Nahr (10th of Dhul-Hijjah). He said, “Whoever slaughtered the sacrifice before offering the Eid prayer, should slaughter another sacrifice in its place; and whoever has not slaughtered their sacrifice yet, should slaughter now.”

-Sahih al-Bukhari (5562)

For Eid Al-Adha, we commemorate the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son, Prophet Ismail, for the sake of Allah. If you’re arranging for your Qurbani abroad, be sure to request it on the second or third day of Eid in their local time zone. This helps ensure that your Qurbani is done after you have prayed your Eid Prayer as required. Qurbani must be performed after Eid Prayer to be valid.

Please see the list of organizations below that may be a resource for Qurbani (not affiliated with MCA)

Significance of the Day of ‘Arafat

The 9th of Dhul-Hijjah, known as the Day of ‘Arafah, is on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026. It is the most significant day of Hajj and fasting this day is highly encouraged.

He was asked about fasting on the day of ‘Arafat (9th of DhuI-Hijjah), whereupon he said: It expiates the sins of the preceding year and the coming year.”

(Sahih Muslim 1162)
