Job Description
Customer Service
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, helpful service.
- Assist customers in locating books, supplies, and other merchandise.
- Answer basic questions about products, pricing, promotions, and store policies.
- Address customer concerns and escalate issues to the manager when appropriate.
Cashier Duties
- Operate the cash register/point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently.
- Process cash, credit/debit, and digital payments in line with store procedures.
- Issue receipts (email/text), refunds, and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
Store Maintenance & Inventory-Stock shelves
- Ensure accurate labeling, and maintain attractive displays.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and shelving new inventory.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or fast-moving items to the supervisor.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and reconciliation to ensure system quantities match on-hand quantities.
- Help verify and count incoming shipments for accuracy.
Event Support
- Support bookstore events, booths, and mobile or pop-up bookstore setups as needed.
- Assist with on-site and off-site bookstore activities, depending on operational needs and availability.
General Support
- Keep the store tidy, presentable, and aligned with safety and store procedures.
- Support bookstore promotions, seasonal campaigns, and special projects as required.

Part-Time
Compensation: Hourly pay range: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
