Election Results

Asalamu’alaykum Wa Rahmatullah Dear MCA Members,

On behalf of the MCA Elections Committee, we are pleased to officially announce the successful completion of the 1448 H (2026–2027) Board Elections. Voting was held for the following positions:

  • President:                           1 position (2-year terns)
  • Board of Trustees (BoT):  2 positions (3-year terms)
  • Executive Board (EB):      3 positions (2-year terms)

 

Voting Period

The election was conducted online through the secure and reliable platform ElectionBuddy.com, from Tuesday, July 7 at 6:00 AM (PST) to Thursday, July 9 at 3:00 PM (PST).

 

Voting Overview

  • Total Eligible Voters: 901
  • Total Voted: 454
  • Voter turnout: 50.4 % — MashaAllah, a strong and encouraging display of civic engagement!

We sincerely thank each and every one of you who took part in this important process. Your participation is a powerful reflection of our shared commitment to transparency, accountability, and community-led leadership

The Election Committee has reviewed and verified the results with care, transparency, and integrity.

Election Closure

The Elections Committee hereby declares the 1448 H (2026–2027) MCA Board Elections complete and final.

 

New Term Start

The newly elected members will begin their term on 1 Rabi-ul-Awal, expected to fall on Friday, August 14, 2026, in shaa Allah.

May Allah (SWT) reward them and their families for their contributions and the personal time they sacrificed.

Eligible voters only, please note for the upcoming MCA Board Elections covering President, Executive Board (EB) and Board of Trustees (BoT) positions:

Voting Schedule:

  • Starts: Tuesday, July 7 at 6:00 AM (PST)
  • Ends: Thursday, July 9 at 3:00 PM (PST)

Voting for the MCA Board positions will be conducted online. Make sure you’re ready to cast your vote during the official voting window:

UPDATE JUNE 24, 2026

Alhamdulillah, the MCA Election Committee has received and vetted nominations, including the nominator endorsements, for this year’s election. As only one eligible nomination was received for President and two eligible nominations were received for the two available Board of Trustees seats, these candidates have been elected uncontested and are not subject to member voting.

Important Message for Nominees: 

Candidates must submit a personal bio by Sunday, June 28, 2026 (midnight).

This year, we will host a Candidates Forum where Nominees will get a chance to share with community members their background and qualifications, explain their purpose in running for an MCA Board position, provide their vision for the community, and answer questions from prospective voters.

This information will be emailed to the members, will be posted on MCA website and projected during the Candidate Forum.

Please keep in mind the following upcoming dates/events:

    • Dates & Time: Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 2:15 PM – 4:30 PM via Zoom 
    • Zoom meeting info will be shared and posted on MCA website 
    • Details: Rules of engagement will be shared before the forum.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

We pray to Allah (SWT) for the continued safety and well-being of you, your families and friends, and all those facing hardship around the globe. Ameen.

The time has come to elect new members for the  President position, and Board of Trustees (BoT) and Executive Board (EB) positions for Hijri Year 1448 (2026–2027). We urge all MCA members to participate.

You must be a member of MCA to take part in MCA elections. We invite all community members—especially youth aged 16 and up—to become members or renew your membership today.

Become a member by April 24, 2026 to to be eligible to nominate a candidate or become a member by May 8, 2026 to be eligible to vote.

This election is an Amanah. Electing a qualified Board is an Amanah — one that shapes our institutional identity today and nurtures the future leaders of MCA and the ummah.

Your voice matters. Your participation is essential. Get involved, vote and shape the future.

  • To Nominate: Member since April 24, 2026 or earlier
  • To Vote: Member since May 8, 2026 or earlier
  • To  Be Nominated:
    • Executive Board: Member for 2 of the last 5 years
    • Board of Trustees/President: Member for 3 of the last 5 years

Voting Requirements and Members’ Responsibilities:

Each member must have a valid, unique email address to receive their ballot. Please verify your contact details on the MCA Membership page and contact membership@mcabayarea.org if you need to update or confirm your information.

For family memberships, it is essential that each family member provide a separate, valid email address.

  6. July 5 – Online Candidate Forum: Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 2:15 PM – 4:30 PM
  7. July 7-9 – Voting Period: Online voting will take place from Tuesday, July 7 at 6:00 AM (PST) to Thursday, July 9 at 3:00 PM (PST) In-Person Voting Support: Assistance for online voting will be available on Wednesday, July 8 (exact time/location to be announced).
