From Tahrir to Gaza: Lessons from Egypt’s Revolution
15th anniversary of the egyptian revolution, a conversation with local author Rusha Latif and Political science professor Yasmeen Daifallah about lessons learnt and the cascading effects over 15 years later
Nearly sixteen years after the 2011 Egyptian Revolution, we return to the experiences of the young people who ignited it and the questions their struggle continues to raise today.
Drawing on Rusha Latif’s book Tahrir’s Youth: Leaders of a Leaderless Revolution, based on her firsthand research during the revolution, we will reflect on the legacy of Tahrir amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the widening conflict across the Middle East.

And how might its lessons speak to the challenges facing the Ummah today?
