Ramadan 2026 Childcare Program Staff, Part Time Position

Location: MCA, 3003 Scott Blvd Santa Clara, CA 95054

Scope of Position: MCA is a non-profit religious organization servicing the needs of the Muslim community. The Ramadan “I Love Islam” Program staff is responsible for implementing the curriculum provided for the program, supervising the children enrolled in the program during Ramadan evenings, and conducting the activities that are designed to engage and improve the faith of our young mosque attendees.

Job Duties:

  • Provide a welcoming and interactive environment to young children attending the program by connecting with the attendees and their parents, communicating our community culture, and assessing ongoing needs.
  • Make logistical preparations including setting up the room, registration table, organizing materials for crafts for the program etc.
  • Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and engagement each night.
  • Track expenses as well as maintain personal timesheets 
  • Inform Ramadan “I Love Islam” Program Lead about any issues that arise in the Babysitting Room.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the MCA facilities utilized during the program.
  • Take proactive measures to address any potential hazards or safety concerns.
  • Build an environment that helps to strengthen and promote social and emotional growth for young children in accordance with Islamic teachings.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Must be available to work on site at MCA every evening (approx 8:00 – 10:00 pm) in Ramadan 2025
  • Preferred 3+ years of experience in education and early childhood education credits
  • Good interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills as well as active listening and facilitation skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated experience including working with a team, addressing situations, and facilitating clear and effective communication.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification are highly preferred. 

Pay will be hourly ($22-23) per hour, commensurate with experience.
