Anger Management Workshop with Irem Choksy

Learn what anger is, and how it affects us in our daily life. Learn about what drives our anger, how we react to anger in emotional and physical ways, and how you can deal with anger.

 Regsitration Fee: $5 per person

Babysitting: $15/ child and an extra $5 for each additional sibling
Open for all (children 12+, teens, adults, couples, families)


Speaker's Bio:

Bio: Irem Choksy is a Mental Health Clinician by profession, and has experience working with the National Alliance of Mental Illnesses (NAMI) on reducing stigma associated with mental health in faith communities as well as with providing psycho-educational faith based culturally competent workshops at Islamic Centers. Irem has interned with United Nations in Geneva with the UNDP on promoting education for developing countries, and has interned with NGOs in Thailand and Mexico to work on peace building efforts to promote interfaith collaboration and education. Irem also currently serves at the Board Member of MiNDS (Medical Network Devoted to Service) – a multidisciplinary interfaith collaboration that advocates to provide healthcare for the underserved and uninsured. Currently Irem works with adults, children, and families in downtown San Jose.
