The newly established “President’s Speaker Series” offers the MCA Community and the general public a wealth of perspectives, experiences and insights presented by a wide variety of leaders and luminaries of our time. The purpose of the Series is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and the intellectual enrichment of the community. MCA will bring speakers of national and international renown all throughout the year with one lecture per month to share some of our time’s most compelling issues, stories and events. The series features scholars, scientists, authors, Presidents, CEO’s and other luminaries. All events will be held in the Banquet Hall, MCA.
Tickets are $5 for individual events or $50 for the complete series (12 lectures); and tickets for MCA staff, and members are $25 for the series. Student tickets are free, but student seats are limited. Reservations strongly encouraged.
The inaugural lecture on Community Health: "Healthy Lifestyle Changes" (FREE) was held on Friday, September 11, 2009, 10:30pm with Imam Suhaib Webb and Dr. Cesar Molina. Over 500 people attended. Stay tuned for next month, October '09, Lecture.
