Hello everyone:

I will insha Allah join this community in May when I will start working for a local company. Since I am from outside US, I need to clarify certain things about life at Bay area.

- I plan to rent an apartment or house close to (or easily accessible by bus from) the Granada Islamic School. Can someone suggest a neighborhood (or an apartment company) where I should focus my search?

- When is the best time to finalize my rental contract/lease if I am going to start at May 1? Is there any chance of getting an apartment/house in the middle of April?

- My son is almost 5 now. Will he go to Grade K or Grade PK in this Fall? How "long" is the waiting list for Granada Islamic School? I mean will I be too late if I apply after I am there in May?

Thanks for your time. I may look too naive, but I have no idea of these things. Feel free to let me know any other issues I may face.

JAK.
