The Constitution Committee, working with the MCA boards has drafted a new constitution for MCA. This new constitution has one major change, about a dozen significant changes and over 40 minor changes. Major change: A new Shura Council has been created that will define, develop and consolidate the long-term strategic plans for the organization, and ensure realization of these plans.
It will prioritize the major goals and functions, decide fundraising and income allocation. This board will be composed of a combination of members from existing boards and from independent members outside of the current boards.
The constitution committee is now looking for feedback from MCA members. Please email your feedback to constitution@mcabayarea.org by Sunday, February 8th, 2009.
