GIS Board Election/General Body Meeting 2013

We pray to Allah (SWT) this letter finds you in good health and high Islamic spirits.These are the details about GIS Board election.

Nominee Bios

Fayaz Syed
Bio: I have been living here around bay area for the past 15 years and moved closer to MCA in 2007 to enroll my first child in GIS. Presently my daughter and son both attend GIS and my third child will join Granada next school year Insha Allah. I hold bachelors degree in electronics engineering and presently working as senior Manager for a storage technology firm in south bay.
Vision: If elected, I will strive to fully realize GIS mission of quality academic and Islamic education while keeping cost of education lower than the other comparative schools in the Bay area. My long term goal is to make GIS as one of the Bay area's top academic institution (pre K - High School). 

Maidul Islam

Maidul Islam has been with this community for more than 10 years. He is a software engineer by profession. He graduated from VNIT (formerly REC), Nagpur, India with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science & Engineering. He also holds a Master's degree from San Jose State University. He has three children, Ahmad, Fatimah, and Maryam, all Granadians. He is motivated by his wife, who is also a teacher by profession. What drew Maidul to run for a place on the GIS Board is a desire to make GIS an educational center of excellence. He wishes to improve the channels of communication between the Board/ Administration and the parents/community. Some of his goals are:

Improve academic standards
Continue to nurture Islamic Values
Improve teaching effectiveness and collaboration
Keep tuition at optimum level, without compromising quality.

Having associated with Santa Clara/San Jose Unified School District for more than 5 years, he hopes to bring some of his learning experience to GIS for improvement. InshAllah, with your help and support, he will work to his best.

Since there are only 2 nominees and 2 positions there will be no elections.
