  Caring Friends

A FREE volunteering service for patient and elderly visitation.

The Muslim Community Association (MCA) has collaborated with Stanford Hospital's Partners in Caring volunteer program to provide assistance for homebound individuals in our community.

Stanford Hospital’s Award Winning Program, Partners in Caring, provides non-medical, practical support for homebound individuals. Partners in Caring recruits, trains and carefully matches volunteers with individuals to help them remain independent at home. Partners in Caring has trained MCA volunteers to help the Muslim community in Santa Clara and neighboring cities who request assistance.

Individuals Who Would Benefit Include:

  • Homebound persons with chronic illnesses and disabilities
  • Homebound persons recovering from injury/surgery
  • Homebound frail older adults and their caregivers

Volunteer Services Provided:

  • Shopping assistance
  • Light housekeeping and or light meal preparation
  • Friendly visits

If you have a homebound person at home that can benefit from our volunteer visits, or if you would like to volunteer for this program to visit homebound persons in our community, please contact us today!
