Brothers and Sisters in Islam Assalaamu Alaikum

The outgoing Executive Committee of the MCA appointed an Election Investigation Committee on March 2nd, 2003 to investigate the recent MCA elections. This committee has completed its work and has submitted a detailed report of its findings and recommendations. The findings showed that there were irregularities and pointed to the need for community's open participation and vigilance to ensure the community's unity and harmony.

The current Executive Committee has taken a number of actions based on these recommendations. Two additional committees are being formed to implement the recommendations. The Election Procedures Committee will review the recommendations and propose a more streamlined process for conducting elections. The Constitutional Review Committee will determine if there are any constitutional changes that should be made to the MCA constitution.
