The prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, commanded this Ummah to enjoin the good, and forbid the evil. He did not instruct us to forbid the evil, and elect the lesser of evils. This essay is addressed to those Muslims who proudly espouse the latter. On July 4th 2003 I warned about The Rove Machine. How it quietly placed Texas in its pocket, then Florida, then turned its sights on California. I exposed the link between the Bush family’s political success and Schwarzenegger’s Gubernatorial aspirations. That link was Karl Rove…

Exactly one year later a documentary was released titled “Bush’s Brain” which confirmed what I had written. And the Rove Machine rolled on. In those days I saw the political spectrum in terms of Republicans and Democrats, but since then I have learned that this false dichotomy is fundamentally no different from good cops and bad cops. So, heed my warning when I tell you that Berry Obama is part of The Rove Machine. Karl Rove is to politics what Bobby Fischer was to chess and now he’s playing both sides of the board. Consider this personal memo from Karl Rove to Berry Obama during the Democratic primary race in early December:

“Not that you have asked for advice, but here it is anyway: Iowa is your chance to best her. If you do not do it there, odds are you never will anywhere. You are way behind her in most national polls. The only way to change that is to beat her in Iowa so people around America take another look at you.”

Why this unsolicited advice? Of what interest is it to Karl Rove that Berry Obama defeat Hilary Clinton? Google this memo and you will find six pieces of advice, all of which Berry Obama implemented, and after his epic success in Iowa, Rove offered this follow up:

“You took the political world by storm in Iowa. The media were agog. They called your words "gorgeous," your victory "a message to the world." You "made history" and Americans could "look at ourselves with pride" in "a moment to marvel." Times change… You excelled at raising money and gaining endorsements, but got weaker as big problems emerged. Before you can fix them, you must understand them.”

Rove proceeded to explain to Berry all the weaknesses of his campaign, and in my opinion secured his nomination. But why? Only one of two possibilities exists, either Rove considered Berry a weaker candidate than Hilary and was stacking the deck for the general election… or… the mastermind behind the Bush administration, and the Neocon take over of the GOP wanted Berry to win the highest office in the land.

I’ve heard it said, and agree, that inauguration day is like a blind date. We really don’t know what any candidate is really going to do, which promises he will keep (if any), or what his real views are. After all, in 2000 George Bush ran on promises of a smaller more humble foreign policy than the Clinton administration, specifically pledging no nation building. So the best way, at this juncture, to know the real Berry Obama is to examine who he surrounds himself with. I’m not talking about Jeremiah Wright, or William Aires. I’m talking about the staff he’s appointing to achieve his true agenda.

Let’s start with Vice President elect Joseph Biden. Joe was chosen to compensate for Berry’s lack of foreign policy experience. Joe is a long time member, and chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. In this role he advocates for a doctrine of “Liberal Internationalism.” The goal of Liberal Internationalists is to intervene in other sovereign states, sometimes violently, in order to encourage democracy to emerge globally, because… they claim… liberal democracies have relations that are characterized by non-violent diplomacy. So… war in the name of peace? Democracy spread at the barrel of a gun… doesn’t that sound like Bush? Joe was a strong advocate of U.S. military intervention in the Bosnian War. He voted in favor of the Iraq War Resolution, in favor of it’s funding, and argued the need for more troops. In a recent interview with ShalomTV Joe pledged unwavering support for Israel stating, “I am a Zionist. You don’t have to be a Jew to be a Zionist.” Joe consistently supports key pro-Israel legislation in the Senate. He’s worked cooperatively with every Israeli prime minister since 1970. And if you examine his voting record you’ll find he votes pro-Israel a higher percentage of the time that John McCain. Ok soo… we’re going to keep kissing the ring of the Zionist Lobby, which means we’re going to keep expending American death and taxes attacking Israel’s enemies…

“Obama and Joe Biden will… renew our military strength, and dedicate more resources to the fight against the Taliban and al Qaeda in Afghanistan.”

Which means killing more Muslim civilians. Is this the foreign policy Muslims support?

So who does Obama approach first for this honor? Secretary of Defense Robert Gates! That’s right, he’s wants to keep Bush’s Secretary of Defense! Still think he’s a liberal peacenik? Still think anything is going to change? Still happy you voted? Gates said, “maybe,” which means Obama is considering a handful of other hawks for the position.

How about Chief of Staff designate, Rohm Emmanuel. The Muslim blogs freaked out immediately because of father was a member of Irgun, a Jewish terrorist organization that drove Palestinians out of their homes in the 30s and 40s. They focus on Rohm Emmanuel’s fundraising efforts with AIPAC and his military service in the Israel Defense Forces during the 1991 Gulf War… but we already know Berry’s foreign policy is Zionist, and that he’ll be continuing Bush’s aggression against Muslim countries… I want to talk about Rohm Emmanuel’s more recent passion… Mandatory National Service. In his recent book, “The Plan: Big Ideas for America,” he writes, “We propose universal civilian service for every young American.” What kind of service does he prescribe? “Basic training, civil defense preparation and community service.” Combine this with the sentiment expressed by Berry himself in his acceptance speech, “We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set... We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.” Get ready my Ummah… this is the change you voted for. We’re going to see civilian "service" like this country has never seen… I've said it before. If it's "universal" than it's "mandatory" because I will not volunteer. Involuntary servitude… equals… slavery. Get ready for your neighbors to join the Citizen Gestapo and start monitoring your carbon emissions… and then snitch you out for being too Muslim… it’s coming.

What about the economy…surely there’s plenty of room for positive change in the economy. A look at the short list of possibilities for the Secretary of the Treasury and you’ll find Tim Geithner and Paul Volcker… both former chairmen of the Federal Reserve… or how about Jon Corzine former CEO of Goldman Sachs. Where’s the change? This sounds like more corporate collusion.

Berry calls it bipartisanship, I call it a two man con. Malcolm X described this phony distinction as “the liberal fox” and “the conservative wolf.” They both want to eat you. Malcolm wrote, “in a wolf's den, I'd always known exactly where I stood; I'd watch the dangerous wolf closer than I would the smooth, sly fox. The wolf's very growling would keep me alert and fighting him to survive, whereas I might be lulled and fooled by the tricky fox.” Berry Obama is a smooth sly fox, and if you’re still flying your flag it’s time you woke up. Democracy is a failure. Popularity is not sovereignty. We are a nation of veal calves. And all it takes to keep us in chains is the illusion of a choice. They promise us a little tax refund, a little health care, some empty hope… and suddenly we don’t care that they fleece us like sheep to pay for their police state at home and abroad.

Look Ummah, voting for a two faced politician because he’s black, or a democrat, or has a Muslim name or whatever, is not the answer to our problems. It’s still The Rove Machine. The Afghani children are just as dead no matter how uplifting his rhetoric is. They aren’t even soliciting our vote… they don’t want it. They avoid us like lepers. The system is broken enough when candidates pander to fringe audiences by making promises they won’t keep, but The Rove Machine isn’t even promising you anything. But rather than standing, with the uncompromising dignity of Malcolm X, we’re acting like insecure cheerleaders with Stockholm syndrome.

Muslims should be on the right side of history, and right now America is only offering short term solutions to long term problems. Ineffaceable monetary policy got your economy in a rut? Print up some more paper money to bail out bankers! Interventionist foreign policy turned the world against you? Bomb some more babies in brown countries! Idiotic electoral process destroyed public confidence in government? Give them a new charismatic leader surrounded by political insiders from both parties! Change isn’t coming it’s more of the same. You want to be on the right side of history? You want to be on the side of truth and justices… condemn a system that is damaged beyond repair. Don’t participate in the mockery of people that don’t even know they are political slaves. That doesn’t just mean don’t vote. Not voting is not enough. That means be boldly and recklessly vocal about how it’s broken. As Muslims we should be characterized by our forward long term thinking, not caught up in the hysteria.
